Corrections, disputes, and removals

Ontario Real Estate Agents Directory lists real estate agent businesses across the province. Listings are built from public business data, and each agent's score is computed by the same formula applied to every business, pulling from Google reviews available to the public. Being listed here is free, and nothing you pay ever changes your score or ranking. This page explains what you can correct, what counts as a valid dispute, when removal is approved, and how long each type of request takes. See scoring method for the full scoring rubric.

Fixing factual information

Your business name, address, phone number, website, opening hours, or service descriptions can be corrected if you provide the correct value and proof of it. Acceptable proof includes your official website, your Google Business Profile, or similar public records that verify the information. Once a correction is applied, it stays in place through future data updates.

Challenging a score

Scores are calculated by formula, never hand-edited, so a dispute means you believe the input data is wrong. Common cases are a profile matched to the wrong business, reviews attributed to your business that belong to another, or a summary that misrepresents what reviewers actually wrote. When a dispute is filed, the source data is re-checked and your listing is regenerated using the same formula. A dispute is not a request for a higher score.

Requesting removal

Your listing can be removed if your business is permanently closed, if your entry is a duplicate of another, or if you fall outside the directory's scope. The directory also runs a verification cycle each month that automatically detects and removes closed businesses. If your listing is accurate and in scope, a removal request may be declined, and you will be told the reason plainly.

How fast we respond

Every request is acknowledged within 5 business days. Removals that are approved are completed within 7 days. If a request is declined, you receive the reason.
